Mixer System Design, Specification, and Optimization Package

Mixer Optimizer 2005 is ReyNo Inc’s flagship software suite that integrates all of our key software pieces into one program to design, specify and optimize your mixing applications.

With mixing fluid volumes, depths and ratios being critical information for a mixer design, Optimizer includes Tank Volume Calculator to calculate these parameters. Given dimensions such as tank diameter and straight side as well as head configurations, Tank Volume Calculator is capable of designing both cylindrical and rectangular tanks. In addition, the program can render a two-dimensional scale drawing of your tank design.

Using a combination of fluid properties, mixer properties and heat transfer parameters, Optimizer's Newtonian Fluid Selector computes a wide array of fluid flow properties and mixer specifications including recommendations for mixer horsepower, shaft speed and torque. Newtonian Fluid Selector (Basic Edition) utilizes similar technology, but specifies dimensionless mixer properties and bulk fluid velocity based on impeller type and mixing intensity selections by the user.

Based on general design parameters such as fluid viscosity and specific gravity in combination with individual impeller properties, the Impeller Sizing Tool included with Optimizer determines optimum impeller diameters, torque and hydraulic forces for shaft designs with as many as four impellers.

For applications where shaft speed is critical for suspending solids, Optimizer includes Solids Suspension to provide guidance on impeller geometries and locations as well as a recommended combination of shaft speed and motor power.

For more complex mechanical designs of mixer shafts, our Shaft Design utilizes matrix-based mathematics and differential equations to calculate outputs such as stress, bending moments, deflection and critical speeds. One of our most state of the art programs, Shaft Design can be used to analyze even the largest and most complicated fluid mixer designs.

With Power Number, Pumping Number, Thrust Number and Blend Number being vital dimensionless numbers for mixer design, Optimizer includes Impeller Library. This library serves as an extensive database for a number of common industrial impellers at a wide range of viscosities.
